For over-taxed homeowners, are you interested in learning how to appeal your taxes? In this tax self-help session, experts from Raila & Associates, P.C. will discuss what is the best evidence to win a tax appeal and how to look up missing tax exemptions and unclaimed refunds. Did you know that there are 8 property tax exemptions available? Homeowners can claim 4 exemptions which they qualify for per year. 

Please bring a laptop or tablet to the presentation for a hands-on activity using the Cook County Assessor's Office website.  You'll also need to bring your Property Index Number (PIN) with you.  If you do not have a laptop or tablet, please contact the Edgewater branch library as soon as possible.  We will take reservations for a small supply of laptops or Chromebooks that may be borrowed.  First come, first served.
